Dermatitis can usually be identified as a swollen red bump on the surface of the skin which is also itchy. The itchiness can vary from mild to severe depending on the person to what had actually caused it in the first place. Other symptoms may include blisters, rashes, cracked skin, pain that involves stinging or burning, and swelling. There are three types of dermatitis, which are atopic dermatitis which is also known as eczema, contact dermatitis, dyshidrotic dermatitis, and subsonic dermatitis. Out of the four, atopic dermatitis is the only one that can be inherited from a parent and can usually be identified as rough patches of dry skin in areas of their body. The other three can happen in other factors as contact dermatitis involves your skin touching something that the person may be allergic or poisonous, dyshidrotic dermatitis is blisters that develop in unprotected hands and feet, and subsonic dermatitis happens in your head and is closely related to dandruff.<\/p>\n
